Key Points
- Indonesia introduced a new 60-day transitional stay permit for foreign nationals currently in the country applying for a new residence permit
Overview
The government of Indonesia has introduced a 60-day Transitional Stay Permit, or Bridging Visa, for foreign nationals applying for a new residence permit after their current one expires.
This permit allows holders of Visit Stay Permits to get a Limited Stay Permit without leaving Indonesia. Similarly, those with Limited or Permanent Stay Permits that can’t be extended can now obtain a new Stay Permit without leaving the country. The government has not yet specified the activities allowed under this visa.
