Thailand: Visa Free Travel for Indian and Taiwanese Nationals

Overview  

The government of Thailand announced the extension of visa-free travel for nationals of India and Taiwan traveling for tourism purposes. Beginning 10 November 2023 until 10 May 2024, holders of an Indian passport or Taiwanese passport will be permitted to enter the country and remain for a maximum period of 30 days. 

These visa holders will be permitted to extend their stay by an additional 30 days or can begin converting their status to a Non-Immigrant B visa. The Non-Immigrant B visa permits foreign nationals to work in Thailand. 

What are the Changes?  

The Thailand government introduced visa-free travel options for passport holders of India and Taiwan, along with options to convert visa-free stay into a work status.
