[Updated] Poland: National Minimum Salary Increase

17 October 2022 Update: The government of Poland amended previously stated minimum salary increases for 2023. Under this amendment, the minimum salary will increase to PLN 3,490 on 1 January 2023 and PLN 3,600 on 1 July 2023. According to the government announcement, this amendment reflects economic changes throughout the country.

Overview 

The government of Poland will increase the minimum salary by 12.4 percent beginning in January 2023. This change will increase the minimum salary amount to PLN 3,383. The government plans to increase the minimum salary again in July 2023 to PLN 3,450.  This change will bring the hourly minimum rate to PLN 22.10 in January 2023 and PLN 22.50 in July 2023. 

What are the Changes? 

The government of Poland announced that it plans to increase the country’s national minimum salary twice beginning in early 2023. Under these changes, the minimum salary will increase to PLN 3,383 in January 2023 and 3,450 in July 2023.
