India: Updated COVID-19 Entry Measures and Recommendations

  • India published COVID-19 information and guidelines for international travelers entering the country as of 20 July 2023  

Overview  

The government of India issued further guidelines for international travelers entering the country. The government recommends travelers be fully vaccinated with an approved primary vaccination. In addition, additional travelers must take precautions throughout the duration of their travels by social distancing and 

The government will continue to require travelers to undergo an isolation period if any symptoms of COVID-19 appear during their travels. In addition, the government will conduct thermal screenings upon entry into the country.  

These measures are valid as of 20 July 2023.  

What are the Changes?  

The government of India published information on COVID-19 travel recommendations. According to the government announcement, these measures are a result of decreasing COVID-19 cases across the globe.
