The government of India announced that, beginning Oct. 15, 2021, foreign nationals will be allowed to enter India on tourist visas if arriving through a chartered flight. All foreign nationals entering India via other means will be able to enter on tourist visas beginning Nov. 15, 2021. Individuals who enter India using a tourist visa will be required to register for a new visa.
