The government of Germany announced plans to issue residence permits to foreign nationals who would be otherwise required to leave Germany from 1 March 2024 so long as they are enrolled in vocational training. These measures are a part of the country’s new Skilled Immigration Act that was originally introduced in June 2023.
What are the Changes?
Beginning 1 March 2024, Germany will grant residence permits to foreign nationals enrolled in a vocational training program. According to the government, these measures make it easier for skilled workers from non-European countries to come to Germany.
