Overview
The government of Brazil reminded citizens that beginning 22 October 2023, Brazilian citizens who intend to transit through Mexican airports, with their destination in other countries, including Brazil, must necessarily carry a Mexican tourist visa.
Citizens are exempt from presenting a visa if:
- Present a residence permit in one of the following countries: Canada, U.S., Japan, or the UK; Northern Ireland, a country that is part of the Schengen Area; or a member country of the Pacific Alliance.
- Hold valid and current visas for Canada, U.S., Japan, the UK, Northern Ireland, or a country in the Schengen Area.
