Overview  

The Australian government expanded the work and holiday visa scheme (Subclass 462) to include nationals of Papua New Guinea. The Subclass 462 visa is intended for foreign nationals aged 18 to 30 who seek to have an extended holiday in Australia and work in the country to help fund the holiday.  

The scheme permits a maximum stay of up to 12 months. Eligible applicants must hold at least two years of post-secondary education. For additional information on eligibility requirements under the scheme, check here.
