Back by popular demand, this year’s Symposium will continue the discourse on global talent and the trends shaping the future of work
Following the success of our inaugural event last year, Envoy Global is excited to announce that the Global Talent Symposium will return to San Francisco this spring, bringing together the country’s top business, public policy and human resources thought leaders.
This announcement comes on the heels of GTS East, the second installment of our premier event held in New York City last fall. Over 120 attendees from companies ranging from small startups to large-scale corporations were in attendance to network and discuss the latest trends in global immigration and talent mobility.
This year’s event will be held on June 9 at The Pearl, a stunning event space in San Francisco’s historic Dogpatch neighborhood.
“We’re delighted to bring attendees another dynamic lineup of speakers who will present expert analysis, strategic recommendations and bold ideas about global immigration and talent mobility,” Envoy Global CEO Dick Burke said.

Why attend?
Global talent shortages are becoming a CEO and board-level priority as the skills gap continues and the demand for specialized technical knowledge increases. Korn Ferry found that the U.S. could face a shortage of more than 6.5 million skilled workers by 2030, costing companies a collective $1.7 trillion in missed revenue.
“Employers equipped with the most thoughtful hiring and mobility strategies will be poised to win,” Burke said.
If talent shortages are the challenge of the 21st century, talent mobility is the opportunity. Understanding and harnessing global talent in our organizations and communities is critical to remaining competitive over the next decade and beyond. GTS will convene the country’s key stakeholders to discuss strategies for building high-impact global teams that can lead our businesses and economy into the future of work.
Who should attend?
The Global Talent Symposium is open to all business professionals, but the content is strategically geared toward human resources executives, global mobility professionals, talent acquisition leaders and HR strategists looking to network and learn more about the latest trends and policies affecting global immigration.
What to expect
This year’s Symposium will include a day of several engaging presentations and discussions led by industry and government experts, as well as opportunities to network with peers and learn best practices for how to acquire, retain, and mobilize the world’s top talent.
Attendees from November’s event described the panels as “well-delivered,” “impactful” and “informative.” One attendee described the event as “extremely thought-provoking…I walked away with a laundry list of to-dos for my organization.”
