The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the U.S. employment landscape. Lockdowns and other restrictions resulted in an economic slowdown that led to many layoffs and a spike in unemployment. However, for many industries, the situation was more nuanced, and also impacted by immigration restrictions put in place at the onset of the pandemic. In addition, as hiring picks back up this year, many employers are finding that global talent will play a significant role in our broader economic recovery.
