USCIS Will Close Its Moscow Field Office

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently announced it will close its field office in Moscow, Russia.

What Changes Were Announced?

On March 29, 2019, USCIS will permanently close its field office in Moscow. However, the office will remain open and still accept applications until Feb. 28.

This means that the USCIS field office in Athens, Greece, will take over jurisdiction for immigration matters in the following countries:

Additionally, the U.S. Embassy in Moscow will assume responsibility for certain limited services previously provided by USCIS to individuals residing in Russia. To view these services, please head to the USCIS website. Finally, the USCIS Refugee Affairs Division will assume primary responsibility for adjudicating refugee cases presented for interview in the region.
