USCIS Extends Initial Registration for the FY 2025 H-1B Cap Season

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it has extended the initial registration period for the fiscal year (FY) 2025 H-1B cap season through 12:00 PM EST on March 25, 2024.

Initially, the registration period was scheduled to close at 12:00 PM EST on March 22, 2024. However, USCIS is extending the registration period due to a temporary system outage that affected some registrants. USCIS is giving registrants additional time as a result of the outage.

Although the registration period is extended, USCIS still plans to notify selected registrants by March 31, 2024. Additionally, prospective petitioners and their representatives, if applicable, must still use a USCIS online account to register every beneficiary electronically for the selection process and pay the associated registration fee for each beneficiary.
