U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has confirmed that its systems may have issued subject receipt notices (Form I-797) with errors.
What happened?
These USCIS errors indicated the name of the company signatory on the I-797 form rather than the company itself.
Since the middle of May, USCIS says it is taking action on impacted cases and it is working to correct the issue. USCIS will provide detailed instructions should the petitioning employer require an updated receipt notice.
