Overview  

The European Parliament adopted legislation intended to better protect trainees throughout the EU member states. Under the proposed legislation, minimum qualifying standards will be introduced, including rules on the duration of traineeship and remuneration requirements.  

What are the Changes?  

The European Parliament agreed to establish new conditions for trainees throughout the EU. The goal is to ensure that trainees are adequately compensated to cover the minimum cost of living throughout their employment period.
