1 March 2023 Update: The government of the United Kingdom (UK) conducted the first draw for the Young Professionals Scheme with India on 28 February 2023. Indian citizens who meet the eligibility criteria can participate in a 48-hour free ballot under the program and 2,400 randomly selected individuals will receive an invitation to apply for their visas.
A second draw is expected to be conducted during the latter part of 2023.

Overview
Beginning on 28 February 2023, the UK government will commence the first application period for the India Youth Professional Scheme, which will run until 2 March 2023.
Candidates who have been successful in the ballot will be allowed to apply for a visa during the designated period mentioned in the invitation to apply, which is typically within 30 days from the receipt of the invitation.
Eligible applicants under this scheme include nationals of India between the age of 18 and 30, who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, have a savings of at least GBP 2,530 and have no children that they currently reside with or support. The Young Professionals Scheme visa permits a maximum stay of 24 months and cannot be renewed.
