Overview
The United Kingdom (UK) government updated its guidance for employers obtaining defined Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) on 11 March 2024. Some of these changes include the following:
- Sponsors must now include a separate summary of a worker’s weekly work hours when submitting a defined CoS application. Previously, the hours needed to be added to the job description text box of the application.
- Employers of care workers or senior care workers must register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Addition of a glossary term for ‘regulated activity.’
