Key Points

  • Taiwan will require nationals of select countries to provide proof of a poliovirus vaccination

Overview

Taiwan’s authorities will require all visa applications from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Madagascar, Mozambique and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to provide proof of vaccination against polio.

The vaccination must be administered with oral live attenuated poliovirus vaccine (OPV) or inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV) within the past four weeks to one year.

These measures will also apply to travelers who have stayed in any previously mentioned countries for more than four weeks within the past year.
