- Singapore will implement a new wage policy that will become effective on 1 July 2024
Overview
The government of Singapore will implement a new wage policy that will become effective on 1 July 2024. As a result, companies will only be permitted to include local employees earning at least SGD 1,600 (previously SGD 1,400) in their foreign worker quota allocation. This policy guarantees fair compensation for local workers before companies hire foreign workers.
