- Singapore expanded the list of foreign nationals eligible to enter the country under the Automated Clearance Initiative
Overview
The government of Singapore expanded eligibility for foreign national visitors permitted to enter the country under the Automated Clearance Initiative (ACI). As a result, foreign nationals from over 51 jurisdictions are permitted to enter the country through automated lanes for immigration clearance.
The government also expanded access to all holders of APEC Business Travel Cards (ABTCs).
Under ACI, biometric data of foreign national travelers are automatically enrolled during the arrival clearance process when entering Singapore. Once completed, foreign nationals will be emailed enrollment confirmation and an electronic visit pass (E-Pass). Enrolled foreign visitors will then be able to use any automated lane during departure and on subsequent visits to Singapore.
