Saudi Arabia: Changes to the eVisa Service

  • Saudi Arabia will expand its eVisa services to additional foreign nationals throughout the month of August and September  

Overview  

The government of Saudi Arabia expanded its eVisa services to include nationals from 11 different countries. The eVisa service can be used to apply for business visas and various work visa authorizations. The service will be rolled out in the following order: 

  • Sudan and Nepal: 2 August 2023  
  • Uganda: 7 August 2023  
  • Lebanon: 9 August 2023  
  • Albania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, the Maldives, South Africa, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan: 10: August 2023  
  • Turkey: 16 August 2023  
  • Sri Lanka: 21 August 2023 
  • Kenya: 23 August 2023  
  • Morocco: 28 August 2023  
  • Thailand: 30 August 2023  
  • Vietnam: 4 September 2023   

The government of Saudi Arabia also launched an Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) program for nationals of the United Kingdom. Under this program, UK nationals can enter Saudi Arabia for tourism, business, study and medical treatment.  

What are the Changes?  

The government of Saudi Arabia expanded its eVisa service to include additional foreign nationals. The government will introduce the service in stages to create a smoother transition process.
