Overview  

The government of Romania introduced changes to its Posted Worker requirements. The changes include the following: 

  • Expanding the list of contact persons responsible for working with local authorities to secure the appropriate documents and other steps needed in the work permit application process.  
  • The government eliminated the requirement for the designated contact person to be a legal representative or employee of the employing company.  

What are the Changes?  

The government of Romania expanded eligibility for designated contact persons for foreign nationals working as Posted Workers in the country. Previously, the designated contact person was required to be a legal representative or another posted worker. According to the government, these measures will at align Romanian policy with the greater European Union policy on posted workers.
