Ireland: Biometrics Passports Needed for Ukrainian Nationals

Key Points

  • Ireland will require that Ukrainian nationals enter the country with a valid biometric passport

As of 6 June 2024, the government of Ireland will require Ukrainian nationals to hold a valid biometric passport to enter the country. Previously, Ukrainian nationals were temporarily excused from this requirement. Ukrainian nationals remain visa-exempt for entry, and according to the government, this passport requirement does not affect their temporary protection status.
