Overview
On 21 September 2023, India’s visa processing office in Canada, BLS International, announced an immediate suspension of visa services for Canadian nationals. As a result, Canadian nationals, including those residing in other countries, will be unable to obtain visas or e-visas until further notice.
Currently, Canadian visa services remain open in India. However, the Canadian government moved its country alert system to “high caution” for Canadian nationals traveling in India and has advised against non-essential travel in certain regions.
