Overview
The authorities of Hong Kong introduced new COVID-19 related quarantine measures on 12 August 2022. Inbound travelers will be required to undergo a “three plus four” model for quarantine. Under this model, travelers will be subject to a compulsory quarantine in a designated quarantine hotel for three days, followed by medical surveillance and a monitoring period. Travelers entering Hong Kong will also be required to present proof of the following:
- Present proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test;
- Proof of room reservations in a Designated Quarantine Hotel (DQH); and
- Proof of a completed vaccination regimen.

On 12 August 2022, the authorities of Hong Kong introduced new quarantine measures for travelers. Travelers entering Hong Kong should ensure that they hold the appropriate immigration authorization prior to arrival, where applicable.
