Ghana/South Africa: Reciprocal Visa Waiver Agreement

Overview  

The governments of Ghana and South Africa announced the implementation of a reciprocal visa waiver agreement that will go into effect on 1 November 2023. The agreement will allow nationals of both countries to enter the other country visa-free for business and tourism purposes.  

Eligible individuals must hold a valid ordinary passport. The maximum period of stay is 90 days within a 12-month period.  

What are the Changes?  

The government of Ghana and the government of South Africa will launch a visa waiver agreement on 1 November 2023. According to the announcement, this will facilitate easier travel between the two countries.
