- Georgia will introduce new changes to its migration labor laws beginning 1 September 2023
The government of Georgia will introduce amendments to its foreign worker labor rules beginning 1 September 2023. The amendments include:
- Introducing a new intermediary company responsible for employing foreign national workers and Georgian nationals working outside of the country.
- Intermediary companies must register with the appropriate government office before beginning any employment-related activities.
- Introduction of a new e-system for local employers to register foreign national holders of work permits, residence permits and visas with the Ministry of Internally Displace Persons for the occupied territories, Labour, Health and Social Protection of Georgia.
