  • Denmark introduced changes to the document requirements for accompanying family members from the Faroe Islands

Overview

On 2 September 2023, the government of Denmark introduced changes to the document requirements for accompanying family members from the Faroe Islands. As a result, nationals of the Faroe Islands who submit a new residence permit application as an accompanying family member must be able to provide proof of documentation of sponsorship.

Applications submitted after 2 September 2023 or later will be subject to these changes. If an application was submitted before 2 September 2023, this requirement will not apply.
