Denmark: New Document Requirements for Applications to Greenland

Overview  

The government of Denmark introduced new application requirements for companies in Greenland hiring foreign nationals under the Fast Track scheme. As a result, applications must now include documentation proving that the hiring company holds the relevant municipal permit for hiring external labor. What are the Changes?  

As of 15 May 2023, Denmark requires companies to provide municipal documentation when hiring a foreign national employee under the Fast Track scheme. According to the government, these measures will ensure that foreign nationals are hired by approved companies.  

Looking Ahead  

The government will require this documentation in the future, regardless of whether the application is submitted via the Fast Track Scheme or the ordinary work scheme.
