Overview
The government of the Czech Republic introduced a new digital nomad visa for nationals of select countries. Eligible individuals include citizens of Australia, Japan, Canada, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan, the U.S. or the United Kingdom working in the information technology (IT) sector. In addition, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be employed by a foreign company and have the intention of working for more than three months in the Czech Republic online or
- A freelancer who intends to become a holder of a Czech business license and thus be self-employed (OSVČ) and
- An income of at least CZK 60,530 per month, 1.5 times the average gross annual salary.
Spouses, partners, dependent students under the age of 26, and minor children of eligible individuals can apply under the program.
