The government of China announced plans to enhance its online immigration service platform beginning 9 October 2023. These enhancements will include:
- Introducing an online appointment option that will allow foreign nationals to apply for visa extensions, renewals, re-issuances and new stay and residence permit applications.
- Introducing an option to complete online inquiries on the progress of visas, documents, foreign permanent resident ID cards and other application types.
What are the Changes?
The government of China will introduce new services to its online immigration platform beginning in October 2023. According to the government announcement, these measures aim to simplify the immigration process in the country.
