China: Period of Stay for Residents of Macau

Overview  

The government of China introduced a new validity period for residents of Macau entering mainland China for business or tourism purposes with a multiple-entry visa. As a result, the visa will now remain valid for a period of up to five years. Previously, this visa category was valid for a maximum period of six months.  

The government also updated the validity period for residents of Hong Kong who hold a multiple-entry visa to two years. Permanent residents of Hong Kong will be granted the visa for a maximum period of up to five years.  

What are the Changes?  

The government of China updated its validity periods for Macau and Hong Kong residents entering the country under a multiple-entry business or tourist visa.
