Canada: Temporary Protection Measures Israel and Palestine

  • Canada extended temporary protection measures for Palestinian and Israeli nationals until 31 July 2025  

Overview  

The government of Canada will extend temporary protection measures for Israel and Palestinian nationals due to the ongoing crisis in Israel and the Palestinian Territories. These measures include the following:  

  • Israeli nationals and Palestinian passport holders in Canada. 
  • Individuals who arrived in Canada under special measures for extended family in Gaza. 
  • Family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents who departed from Israel or the Palestinian Territories on or after 7 October 2023. 
  • Permanent residents of Canada who departed from Israel or the Palestinian Territories on or after 7 October 2023. 
  • These measures will remain in effect until 31 July 2025.
