Overview  

The government of Canada launched a new pilot program with the Philippines on 19 October 2023. The pilot program will streamline the work permit process for Canadian employers seeking to recruit workers from the Philippines. In particular, the program is intended for roles in critical occupation sectors such as healthcare, construction and agri-food. Through the program, employers can schedule group appointments for medical examinations and biometrics.   

What are the Changes?  

The Canadian government launched a new pilot program to simplify the application process for Canadian employers looking to hire Philippines nationals for certain roles.
