26 August 2022 Update: The government of Canada introduced four additional passport pick up service locations. Canadian citizens will now be able to pick up their passports in the following locations:
- Fort McMurray, Alberta
- Moncton, New Brunswick
- Rimouski, Quebec
- Whitehorse, Yukon
Canadian citizens who can present proof of travel will be able to obtain their passport within 10 days of filing from these locations. The passport can either be obtained in-person or mailed to the applicant.

20 September 2022 Update: The government of Canada introduced four additional passport pick up service locations. Canadian citizens will now be able to pick up their passports in the following locations:
- Sudbury, Ontario
- Lethbridge, Alberta
- Kingston, Ontario
- Sherbrooke, Québec

8 August 2022 Update: The government of Canada will allow Canadian citizens who provided a duly completed passport application via mail within the last 20 business days to visit any Service Canada Centre to make a transfer request for passport issuance. The transfer request will allow Canadian citizens to obtain the physical copy of their passport from more than 300 Service Canada Centres. According to the government, this will reduce processing delays and long-distance travel to Service Canada Centres. Previously, only 35 Service Canada Centres could service requests of transfers.

- Calgary Sundance, Alberta
- Richmond, British Columbia
What are the Changes?
The government of Canada introduced new in-person pick-up locations at five more Canadian passport offices on 25 July 2022. Currently, there are 29 passport offices that permit passport pick-up services. This newest update will allow more Canadians to pick up their passports in person and do so closer to the applicant’s place of residence. The government also expects this change to reduce delays in passport processing and delivery times.
