The government of Canada conducted its first draw for Francophone category-based foreign nationals applying under the country’s Express Entry stream. As a result, a round of new category-based invitations was sent to eligible applicants on 7 July 2023.  

What are the Changes?  

The government of Canada conducted its first French-speaking draw under the Express Entry stream on 7 July 2023. According to the government announcement, the first French-speaking newcomers under the draw will help to promote the French language throughout Canada while addressing labor shortages.
