Brazil: Two Year Post-Graduate Residence Permit

Key Points

  • Brazil introduced a two-year residence permit for select foreign national graduate students who attended an accredited Brazilian educational institution

Overview

Beginning 22 September 2024, the government of Brazil will offer a new two-year residence permit for eligible graduates of accredited Brazilian educational institutions.

This permit allows foreign nationals who have completed an undergraduate or graduate program in Brazil and have a job offer from a Brazilian employer to live and work in the country.

Unlike typical employment visas that require work experience, this new option is specifically for recent graduates looking to stay and work in Brazil.
