15 April 2022 Update: On 7 April 2022, the government of Argentina reduced its COVID-19 related entrance requirements for Argentinian citizens and residents. Under these new requirements, these travelers will be required to:
- Complete an electronic Sworn Declaration within 48 hours of departure; ]This declaration must provide details on the traveler's vaccination status demonstrating that the traveler has been fully vaccinated within 14 days of departure; and
- Hold proof of valid health insurance that will support COVID-19-related expenses
Previously, travelers were required to provide proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of departure.

Overview
On 26 Jan. 2022, the government of Argentina released new entrance requirements. Citizens and foreign national residents of Argentina who are fully vaccinated within 14 days of travel will be permitted to enter the country without undergoing PCR testing. These travelers will also be exempt from the seven-day quarantine requirement upon entry.
Unvaccinated citizens and foreign national residents of Argentina will be required to undergo PCR testing within 72 hours, or antigen testing within 48 hours, prior to departure for Argentina. These travelers will also be required to undergo a seven-day quarantine period upon entry.
Fully vaccinated foreign nationals, who are not residents of Argentina, will be required to:
- Produce a negative PCR test taken 72 hours prior to departure to Argentina;
- Complete a Sworn Declaration within 48 hours of departure;
- Demonstrate proof of having been fully vaccinated within 14 days of departure; and
- Hold health insurance that will support COVID-19 related expenses.

Overview
On Nov. 1, 2021, the Argentina government reopened its borders to tourists and non-residents from select countries (in-country information is found here). Eligible travelers will require the following:
- A schedule reflecting dates and times of vaccine administration that demonstrates that the last vaccine dose was received 14 days prior to arrival in Argentina;
- A negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours prior to arrival;
- A filled out Health Declaration Form known as Affidavit of Migration; and
- Proof of health insurance that covers COVID-19 related concerns
What are the Changes?
Argentina closed its borders to international travelers in March 2020 to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The reopening of borders will allow for travelers to enter Argentina without prior COVID-19 related authorization.
