Our new affiliation positions us to transform the future of immigration services
Envoy has been on a mission to advocate for employers and foreign nationals alike for two decades. Over the years, we’ve made significant progress in our mission along with important improvements to our technology and service, thanks to our talented teams and the strength of our affiliated law firm, Global Immigration Associates.
Today, we’re delighted to announce Envoy’s new affiliation with Corporate Immigration Partners (CIP). CIP will join GIA as Envoy’s second exclusively affiliated law firm.
CIP is a nationally recognized firm, representing more than 250 corporate clients on U.S. and/or global immigration matters. CIP is known for truly partnering with their clients, combining their dynamic perspectives and extensive experience, to create and deliver personalized immigration programs based on the specific needs of their clients’ organizations.
Taken together, Envoy, CIP and GIA represent the fourth largest immigration service provider in the United States based on Labor Condition Application (LCA) data. As part of the alliance, the global teams of CIP and Envoy will be combining to form a consolidated global practice that will double each team’s current global presence and provide clients with more support and resources across all regions.
The affiliation will extend the alliance’s global presence with team members in major U.S. cities such as: Chicago, San Francisco, Austin, Dallas, Boston, Seattle, Charlotte, Atlanta and Miami; and in countries around the world, including: Canada, United Kingdom, France, Singapore and Australia.
Envoy’s enterprise platform and CIP’s team of leading immigration attorneys can provide the extensive resources needed to meet today’s complex regulatory environment, as well as the technology demands and operational efficiencies sought by organizations ranging from high-growth startups to Fortune 10 corporations.
“Our decision to join in an affiliation with Envoy reinforces our commitment to integrate the best technology into immigration processes,” says Christy Umstadter, Founding Partner at CIP. “We look forward to contributing further to the success of our clients’ immigration programs through our continued efforts to stay at the forefront of technology while providing a seamless experience for employers and foreign nationals who are navigating through the complexities of immigration.”
Additionally, with CIP’s headquarters in San Francisco, our combined efforts and capabilities will better help organizations on the West Coast, many of which are in the tech sector and rely on foreign talent for innovation.
In conjunction with this transition, CIP Founding Partner Brendan Coggan will oversee the combined global immigration team, and current Head of Global Immigration as SVP, Global Services and Stephanie Lewin has been promoted to serve as our first SVP, Government Relations & Partnerships. In addition, we’re adding new roles in technology, account management and customer service in Chicago and San Francisco.
By affiliating with another market-leading, innovation-minded firm like CIP, we believe that we can transform the future of immigration services at a time where advocating for foreign nationals is incredibly important.
