USCIS Raises Premium Processing Fee

October 31, 2019

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it is increasing the premium processing fee to $1,440, an increase from $1,410.

This price change reflects a $30 change. The fee applies to Form I-129 and Form I-140.

According to a USCIS press release, this price increase “reflects the full amount of inflation from the implementation of the premium processing in June 2001 through Aug. 2019 and is based on the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers.”

What is Premium Processing?

Premium processing is an optional service for petitioners filing Form I-129 or Form I-140. By utilizing premium processing, petitioners are requesting that USCIS review and adjudicate petitions in 15 days.

USCIS last raised its premium processing fee in 2018.
