Companies have placed a priority on global mobility, and Canada is aggressively attracting these companies. In fact, 38% of employers are thinking about expanding to Canada and 21% already have at least one office in the country, as we discovered in our 2019 Immigration Trends report. In 2017 alone, Toronto created more tech jobs than the Bay Area, Seattle and Washington D.C. combined. With friendly immigration policies in place and multiple cities becoming a hot bed for tech talent, Canada is well on its way to achieving the goal of bringing in 350,000 immigrants by 2021.
