The United Kingdom recently released the details behind its new points-based immigration system, which encourages high-skilled, employment-based immigration into the region. Other countries have also debated enacting a similar model, the U.S. included. Points-based immigration can create favorable conditions for employers, but it’s important to understand the nuances of such a system.
