Thursday, February 11, 2021 | 2:00 PM ET / 1:00 PM CT | Duration: 1 Hour Over the past four years, the Trump Administration adopted a restrictionist policy to immigration, imposing new regulations and restrictions on employers and foreign workers as a part of his “Buy American, Hire American” executive order. With the Biden-Harris administration now in place, many of these policies are now being reversed. In addition, President Joe Biden sent an extensive immigration reform bill to Congress shortly after his inauguration. While many of the administration’s early actions have focused on family-based immigration, there are also opportunities for reform that could streamline the immigration process for employers and foreign talent. About This Event Hear from eminent immigration and economic scholars and policy experts Stuart Anderson, Giovanni Peri and Britta Glennon as they discuss data and research- driven analysis of current immigration policies implemented by the Trump administration and those proposed by the Biden administration. Additionally, these panelists will discuss other areas of opportunity to address the country’s economic needs through further reform of the employment-based immigration system. About the Presenters
