Canadian Immigration Year In Review

Tuesday, December 15, 2020 | 2 PM ET / 1 PM CT | Duration: 45 min

Take a look back at the year in mobility in Canada with Envoy’s Jim Yang, who will discuss:

  • Emerging immigration trends in Canada
  • Expected developments in 2021
  • The role of immigrants in Canada’s COVID-19 recovery plan

Although the COVID-19 pandemic forced many countries to close borders and restrict travel, Canada remained committed to its mission of strengthening its economy and workforce through immigration.  As the new year approaches, immigration is expected to remain a priority for the country, which hopes to bring in over 1.2 million immigrants by 2023, its highest number yet.
