October 6, 2017 Chelsea Iversen

Immigration has been a topic at the top of many minds for a long time and continues to play a large part of the national conversation. Since the current administration has been on the campaign trail, U.S. immigration changes seemed imminent. Now, and since the beginning of 2017, we’ve seen executive orders such as “Buy American, Hire American” and other shifts in enforcement that have put immigration in the U.S. in the spotlight.

Some of these U.S. immigration changes have been highly publicized and controversial – like rescinding DACA – while others have passed under the radar. Some of the recent shifts and proposed policy changes are impacting corporate immigration, and taking care in hiring and managing foreign national employees has become more important than ever.
