Scott Griffith is Chief of Autonomous Vehicle Product, Marketing and Operations at Ford Autonomous Vehicles, LLC.

As an XIR at General Catalyst Partners, Scott focuses on identifying and supporting innovative businesses that are driving growth and creating value by offering a category leading experience with a specific interest in marketplace-driven business models and the sharing economy. He is based in the firm’s Cambridge office.
Prior to joining General Catalyst, Scott served as chairman and CEO of Zipcar, the world’s leading car sharing network. During his ten-year tenure, he transformed Zipcar from a small business into a profitable public company, growing it from $2 million to nearly $300 million in revenues through organic growth and acquisitions before taking it public in 2011. In 2011, he engineered Zipcar’s Initial Public Offering (IPO), and in 2013 led the strategic sale of Zipcar to Avis Budget Group for approximately $500 million.

Prior to Zipcar, Scott held senior level positions at the Boeing Company (NYSE: BA), Information America and the Parthenon Group.

He serves on the boards of CoachUp (a General Catalyst portfolio company) and the Alliance for Business Leadership. He also serves as leadership council chairman for the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
