7 Feb. 14 – Prime Minister Theresa May loses vote on her Brexit strategy Feb. 27 – House of Commons holds series of non-binding votes, unanimously calling for the U.K. and European Union to guarantee citizens' rights in the event of a no-deal Brexit March 13 – House of Commons votes to reject a no-deal Brexit (321-278) March 14 – House of Commons vote to instruct Prime Minister May to seek an extension to the Article 50 negotiating period from the EU March 18 – House of Commons Speaker John Bercow states May's government can't hold a third vote on its Brexit deal without a "demonstrable change" March 21 – EU leaders agree to postpone Brexit and impose two new deadlines. If a deal is ratified by British MPs, Brexit will be delayed until May 22.
