Last year, 199,000 H-1B visa applications were submitted to the FY2018 H-1B visa lottery before it closed in just five business days.

Unprepared HR teams thinking they had seven days to file, like in the previous four years, were left without a chance to hire the foreign national(s) they hoped to sponsor. With prevailing wages, LCAs and possible site visits to take care of, it’s never too soon to start the process.
