Italian Citizenship Fee Increaes
Italy increased consular fees for citizenship applications on 1 January 2025. These changes have been implemented as a result of the country’s new budget law. The Application Consular Fee has doubled from around 300 euros to 600 euros per application, as specified in Article 1, paragraph 639, of the 2025 Budget Law.
All U.S. consulates have already adopted the new fee structure. Applicants should verify the updated fees on their respective Consulate’s official website and plan for consular service charges accordingly.
