Overview
The government of Finland will introduce new income thresholds for residence permit applicants beginning 1 November 2024. The new income threshold will apply to all family member and student worker permits, as well as select work permit categories. These include:
- Residence permits for persons who have completed a degree or qualification in Finland or conducted research in Finland
- Residence permits are issued for a student or researcher to look for work or to start a business
- Residence permits for startup entrepreneurs
- Residence permits are granted to a researcher when funding is involved.
