M Business Visa Introduced

China introduced a five-year, multiple-entry M visa for foreign business travelers and their dependents in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Liaoning provinces. This visa allows a 180-day stay per visit. Applicants need a special invitation letter from the municipal Foreign Affairs Office. Those with this letter can bypass fingerprint collection and pay only a one-year multiple-entry visa fee. The invitation process takes about two to three weeks and is initiated by an inviting organization in China.
